This Adam Brody Crime Series Is the Newest Addition to Hit the Top 10 on Netflix

You’ve probably heard of bitcoin, the cryptocurrency invented in 2008 that has grabbed headlines (and raised lots of questions) since. Well, meet GenCoin, the fictitious digital currency at the center of the Crackle series StartUp, which just hit Netflix this week.

It seems this tale of tech entrepreneurs and corrupt FBI agents has caught the eye of many viewers because once the three seasons of StartUp were uploaded to the streaming site, the series quickly jumped into the top ten. Check out the trailer below.

The official writeup for the series says, “When three unlikely business partners incubate their tech idea on the wrong side of the tracks, their fight to build a company is nothing compared to their fight to stay alive.” (Think Breaking Bad meets House of Lies).
Adam Brody (The O.C.) stars as Nick Talman, a tech businessman who tries to save a cryptocurrency company by laundering money from his embezzling father. Along with Brody, the cast includes Edi Gathegi (House), Otmara Marrero (Clementine), Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) and Ron Perlman (Hellboy).
StartUp was created by Ben Ketai, who also created the series Chosen, starring Milo Ventimiglia and Chad Michael Murray. The show was produced by Frances Lausell and Josh Corbin, along with its actors, Adam Brody, Ron Perlman and Edi Gathegi.

We’ll be adding this to our must-watch list.
